Will Marrs began his career in politics as a door-to-door canvasser volunteering on various campaigns throughout the state of Missouri. He attended New York University, graduating with a B.A. in politics, and a minor in history. While at NYU he clerked in the Queens County District Attorney’s Office, moving on to law school shortly thereafter. Before beginning law school, he found himself as a Constituent Assistant, interning in the U.S. Senate.
While in law school he was a summer clerk for the Hon. Judge Doug Harpool of the U.S. District Court of Western Missouri. He was a summer associate for the law firm Morrow, Wilnauer & Church, LLC in Kansas City working there full-time upon graduating from the University of Missouri School of Law in 2017, earning his J.D.
Associate
Kelli Richardson began working for Governmental Services Group in 2013 under the mentorship of J. Scott Marrs. When Kelli first started working with GSG, she was a research and policy analyst, where she performed extensive research and provided insight on the potential impact of legislation. This gave her a strong knowledge base of the legislative process and policy in general. Kelli is now an associate at GSG and uses her skills to help assist GSG in achieving legislative goals for clients.
During her time at GSG, Kelli has successfully worked on key legislative priorities for clients. Additionally, she keeps GSG up to date on the large volume of bills pertaining to clients. She has an extensive knowledge of the legislative process and experience working with both the legislative and executive branches of government.
Kelli holds a master’s degree in public affairs and is currently finishing her Master of Public Health degree through the University of Missouri. Kelli uses her combined knowledge of healthcare and the legislative process to work directly with legislators and clients to help them understand the potential impact of legislation on cities, counties, hospitals and people across Missouri.
Executive Assistant
With over 20 years of experience working with legislators, lobbyists, analysts, and capitol staff, Cindy has developed a profound and in-depth understanding of the legislative process. Before coming to work for both Governmental Services Group and Burch Associates in 2001, she worked for two years in the Legislative Oversight Division in the Missouri Capitol. In 2005, she worked as a legislative assistant in the Missouri House of Representatives while maintaining her role at our firm. Cindy has a reputation as being honest, reliable, and is an exceedingly efficient executive assistant.
Cindy coordinates communications through the office. She anticipates issues and provide quick solutions. Cindy will research and analyze issues, track legislation, and provide timely answers to your questions.
